About Me

Hello!

I’m Dan Yatzeck, Solutions Engineer.  I live and work in the SE Wisconsin area for an IT services and consulting organization, focusing on Network and Security.

Most of my experience comes from working on Cisco and Fortinet equipment, doing LAN, WAN, and wireless.  I do get the opportunity to work on other equipment as well though, like Juniper, HPE/Aruba, Ubiquiti, Barracuda, Dell… you get the idea.

I’m certified in a variety of areas, notably CCNP (Cisco), NSE4 and 2x NSE7 (Fortinet), and CWNA (vendor-neutral wireless).  I also have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI.  See my LinkedIn profile for a more complete list.  🙂

When not working, I enjoy playing disc golf, running in trail races (though you won’t see me in the front!), occasionally table tennis, speedrunning NES games (Zelda II is my specialty), and spending time with my family.

This site is intended as a repository for stories, projects, specific how-tos, and/or anything I am interested in writing about.  I hope it helps someone out.

Feel free to hit me up @yatznet on Twitter or reach out to me on LinkedIn.

Thanks for stopping by!
